CONTENIDOS Module 1 - Thermal sensitivity and the thermal environment Basic to any ability to understand and to predict the biotic impacts of climate change are two key concepts: 1) understanding how body temperature influences the performance and fitness of organisms, 2) understanding how climate influences body temperature of ectotherms.
Module 2 - Integrating Ecophysiology, Climate-Change and Extinction Risk The methods in this part of the workshop focus on ecophysiological models developed in Sinervo et al. (2010) to determine extinction risk. The protocols used for body temperature regulation (in Sinervo et al. 2010) will be extended to thermal performance curves.
