En el marco del Curso de Posgrado "The Struggle to Feed the World:
Cereal Research in the Genomic Era, tendrá lugar el día miércoles
28 a las 15:00 hs el seminario titulado:*
"Functional characterization of an E3 ubiquitin ligase induced in
response to cold adndoriught in wheat" dictado por el Dr. Luigi
Cattivelli.
Luigi Cattivelli has a degree in Agricultural Science from the Catholic
University of Piacenza, Italy. He has been working in very prestigious
European Institutes and, since 2010 is Director of the Genomics
Research Centre (an institute of the Agricultural Research Council of
Italy), located in Fiorenzuola d?Arda (Italy). His research activity
has been focused on genetics and molecular biology of cereals (barley
and wheat), from gene cloning to QTL analysis. Transcriptomics,
functional genomics and bioinformatics approaches are currently used to
investigate the functions of key genes involved in the expression of
important agronomic traits. LC is member of in the coordinating
committee of the International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium
(IWGSC) and the Italian representative in the research committee of the
Wheat Initiative, an international organization for the coordination of
wheat research supported by the G20 Agricultural Ministers. LC is
member of the editorial board of ?Plant Science?. More than 100 records
are registered on Scopus for Luigi with more than 2000 citations and
with a h index of 26.
